Scanning and storage system

System to scan transport containers and to store radioactive waste

The system is provided with a special detector allowing to measure the rates inside storage containers.

The containers are placed on top of a rotating motor driven platform, fastened to a mobile lead screen and entered - with a horizontal movement - inside a lead shielding. In this way, containers can be scanned without any inerference from the environmental radioactivity.
