L’air aspiré est alors envoyé à un système de compression et stocké dans des réservoirs pressurisés. Une sonde Geiger placée à l’intérieur d’un système Marinelli (en option) surveille ces réservoirs. Une fois l’activité radioactive collectée désintégrée, l’air, qui n’est plus contaminé, est évacué par la conduite d’échappement de la ventilation générale du laboratoire.
La station de compression peut gérer une ou plusieurs cellules de production ou de manipulation COMECER.
De plus, la station de compression peut également être raccordée à la pompe à vide du cyclotron. En cas d’accident ou en cas d’échec de la cible, l’air contaminé est stocké dans les réservoirs correspondants.
