Er is een stroomafwaartse isolator voorzien voor het laatste deel van een celtherapie of biologisch proces. Er kunnen natuurlijk verschillende opties zijn voor de manier waarop de functies van de isolator geïnterpreteerd worden. In hoofdzaak kunnen gebruikers met een stroomafwaartse isolator producten uit het expansie-/rijpingsproces verzamelen en ze voorbereiden voor levering aan de eindgebruiker.
Afhankelijk van de aard van het product dat geleverd moet worden, kan een isolator een verzamelzone, een zone voor het vullen in flesjes of zakken voor infusie of cryopreservatie omvatten, ofwel een verpakkingszone als het eindproduct deze stap vereist.
