El RABS pasivo se ideó durante la reforma de un laboratorio para obtener un grado más alto de protección en las áreas de trabajo en las que ya había un flujo laminar simple rodeado de dos flejes portátiles.

Bridas para guantes (diferentes tamaños disponibles) con guantes (diferentes materiales disponibles)
Juntas estáticas con perfil D, hechas de EPDM y aprobadas por la FDA para sellar las puertas en la posición cerrada
Paneles frontales hechos con paneles antiestáticos de 10 mm de espesor en Lexan
Rejilla frontal instalada en la parte baja de cada puerta para regular el flujo de aire a través del laboratorio
Cada puerta está equipada con dos bridas para guantes ovaladas de 10″ en Hypalon
Todos los componentes de acero inoxidable TIG soldados.

La implementación de este RABS abierto permitió alcanzar un nivel de presión positiva de 15 Pa, aumentando drásticamente la condición aséptica del área crítica contenida.
