Ces blindages de lits sont utilisés pour protéger le personnel des radiations pendant l’examen du patient. Les blindages sont faits de plomb de 2 mm (VLS-100 : 3 mm) entre deux plaques de base solides. Les plaques sont montées sur un cadre en acier inoxydable sur 4 roues pivotantes. La fenêtre est faite de verre acrylique et offre un blindage équivalent à 0,8 mm de plomb (pour 110 keV).
