The Shielded Bunker Penetrations ensure the necessary radioprotection during the passage of processed fluids among the hot laboratories where radioactive waste is prepared for storage.
These conditions are possible thanks to non-straight AISI 316L stainless steel pipes placed inside the shielding. This shielding can be made by pouring molten lead or by pouring concrete into an epoxy coated carbon steel frame.
