La cellule blindée pour l’échantillonnage des déchets radioactifs consiste en un caisson de cellule confiné et blindé destiné à l’échantillonnage des déchets radioactifs liquides contenus dans les réservoirs de stockage.
Ce système d’échantillonnage permet d’effectuer les actions suivantes dans des conditions radiologiques sûres :
un échantillonnage significatif des solutions
contenues dans les réservoirs de stockage
le remplissage, le scellement et la manipulation des flacons d’échantillons
le conditionnement des échantillons dans des conteneurs blindés permettant leur transport en dehors de la cellule. Grâce aux télémanipulateurs, les opérations d’échantillonnage s’effectuent entièrement à distance, de sorte que le personnel n’est pas exposé aux radiations directes et à la contamination.
