Comecer’s community initiatives reflect a practical and continuous approach to social responsibility, combining support for local organisations, educational partnerships, and international programs.
The activities documented below are presented in chronological order and include donations, sponsorships, employee participation, and collaborations with institutions and associations operating at both local and global level.
Comecer supports AGEOP Ricerca (Pediatric Hematology Oncology Parents Association) in initiatives connected to Casa Gialla, a facility designed for children undergoing oncological treatment.
Casa Gialla provides dedicated spaces for therapeutic and creative activities, offering a transition environment between hospitalisation and home. The facility operates as an extension of the hospital system, allowing discharged patients to continue accessing Day Hospital services while improving quality of life and freeing hospital capacity for other patients.
Since 2015, Casa Gialla has supported over 270 young patients and their families. Comecer’s contribution has developed over time through donations, solidarity initiatives, employee involvement, and fundraising activities. Comecer is among the companies supporting the development of the Mechatronics degree program in Imola, in collaboration with Confindustria Emilia Area Centro.
The initiative contributes to strengthening engineering competencies in the region and supports the development of the local industrial ecosystem, including the Packaging Valley. It also creates opportunities for internship programs and early-stage recruitment of technical profiles.
Comecer maintains an ongoing collaboration with the Bologna Business School, an international postgraduate institution focused on interdisciplinary and applied learning.
Selected among companies in the Life Sciences sector, Comecer contributes to project-based activities aimed at developing business processes, supporting knowledge exchange between industry and academic environments.
In June 2022, Comecer supported the Coordinamento Volontariato Protezione Civile Faenza-Ravenna ODV through the donation of a Miller Maxstar 300-DX TIG welding machine.
The equipment is used within a mobile workshop to support operational activities during emergency interventions.
Comecer participated in a fundraising initiative promoted by the Italian Red Cross to support civilian populations affected by the conflict in Ukraine.
The initiative combined company contributions with employee participation, reinforcing a shared approach to emergency support.
During Family Open Day 2022, Comecer involved local organisations with social and charitable purposes in the organisation of activities and services.
These included Cooperativa Sociale Botteghe e Mestieri (Castel Bolognese), Manitese Faenza, and Il Ponte Azzurro Imola, linking an internal company event with support for local social initiatives.
Comecer supported a mobility assistance initiative in collaboration with Progetti del Cuore Società Benefit, contributing to the purchase of a Fiat Doblò vehicle.
The vehicle provides transportation services for vulnerable people, including elderly individuals, children, and people with disabilities.
Comecer took part in educational and recruitment-oriented initiatives connected to schools, technical institutes, and universities. These activities included the Career Days and Open Days initiatives already referenced on the current page.
Among these activities, Comecer participated in Career Days organized by the University of Bologna, alongside other orientation and inclusion events involving students and recent graduates.
Following the floods that affected Emilia-Romagna in May 2023, Comecer activated support measures for employees and the local community.
The company organized a GoFundMe campaign that raised €32,204, including a direct company contribution of €10,000. Additional support included the provision of temporary vehicles for employees who had lost their own during the emergency.
Comecer participated in a joint initiative promoted by the Municipality of Castel Bolognese, involving multiple local companies.
The project aims to develop shared welfare and mobility services for employees across the district, improving access to services and overall quality of life through collaboration between companies and local administration.
Comecer supports the Tackle Cancer Challenge, a sports-based initiative organized by the Oncidium Foundation to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
Employees participate by tracking physical activities such as walking, running, cycling, or swimming through a dedicated app. The cumulative objective is to reach the equivalent of a global distance.
The Comecer team contributed 4,506 km to the initiative, reflecting active employee involvement in collective fundraising efforts.

Comecer supports local associations dedicated to assisting women, particularly in situations of vulnerability and violence.
SOS Donna APS, based in Faenza, provides support services including shelter, essential goods, and assistance for women and children.
Trama di Terre, based in Imola, operates as a cross-cultural association promoting women’s empowerment, inclusion, and protection against violence and discrimination.
Support for these organisations is linked to key awareness moments such as International Women’s Day and the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Comecer supports UNICEF and its international programs dedicated to protecting children’s rights and improving access to education and safe environments.
One of the main initiatives supported is the UNICEF “Schools for Africa” initiative, which operates in multiple countries across the African continent. The program focuses on building and maintaining educational infrastructure, promoting school attendance, and supporting vulnerable children, including those living in poverty or without family support.
The initiative is developed in collaboration with governments, local communities, and institutional partners, ensuring long-term sustainability and scalability of educational systems.
