Isolation Technology Workshop in Shanghai

On June 24th, 2014 a full-day workshop on Isolation, Sterility Testing and Environmental Monitoring took place in Shanghai, China.

Comecer organized the workshop in cooperation with Merck-Millipore, a global player in the life science industry.

Paolo Liverani and Jason Tang presented on behalf of Comecer.  The seminar was well received and 41 people participated from a variety of organizations, including inspection bodies, industries, institutes and engineering companies.

The audience participated with many relevant questions, such as

  • Sterility Assurance: how to reach log 6 reduction of bacteria spores. VHP vs. other methodology
  • Opportunity of Leak integrity test for gloves for Isolator, C-RABS, O-RABS
  • Differences between C-RABS & Isolators
  • Avoiding Cross contamination; how to reach class 2 in Isolator
  • Particle monitoring where & when: environmental monitoring
  • Ergonomics for process & operator
  • Highlights: Cell Culturing & Quality by Design (Balcony design in sterile Vial filling)
