There is an alternative to cleanrooms to increase manufacturing capacity

Continuing research into ATPMs (Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products) based on genes, cells or tissues, has increased the number and size of cell factories around the world.

Massimiliano Cesarini presented our vision to address these challenges during the Cell & Gene Therapy World 2018 event held in Miami, Florida.

His talk can be summarized with these 3 points:

  1. a GMP approach from the beginning is a must
  2. Isolator technology offers a much more attractive alternative to cleanrooms from a quality and cost standpoint
  3. Comecer’s FlexyCult™ modular incubation system is game change in cell culture
